Sales and GTM recruitment, timed to the raise

Revenue teams get built after two events: money arrives, or a new leader does. hyreflow reads funding rounds, leadership appointments and this week's hiring posts, and finds who owns the hire at each company.

Two companies fit your desk. A note that refers to the raise is ready for review.Stage notes

For a sales and GTM desk, hyreflow reads the two events that come before the job advert.

  1. A marketA prompt
    You give it

Your market: the kind of company you place into, the geography, and the revenue roles your desk covers.

  2. +45 more
    hyreflow does

hyreflow pulls the recent funding rounds and senior appointments in that market, drops the companies that do not fit your desk, reads the announcement behind each one, and finds the person who owns sales hiring with a verified work email.

  3. Call list readyReviewRun end to end
    You decide

You see the round or the appointment behind every company. Review the list before anyone is contacted, or let it run through.

Three places a revenue hire shows up first

Each one is public, dated, and earlier than the advert.

Funding rounds

Financing events

What it reads
  • Recent funding rounds, by round type
  • Companies filtered to your sector and geography
  • The amount, the date and the investors on each round, where reported
What that tells you

Which companies have just raised, and so tend to be building a revenue team next.

A raise is an intention, not a headcount plan. The note the play drafts refers to the round, not to an assumed vacancy.

Leadership appointments

Company news, read from the announcement

What it reads
  • Senior appointments announced in your market, by company location
  • The source article, for the name, the role and the date
  • A news search for the appointments the feed misses
What that tells you

Which companies have a new sales or revenue leader, before that leader has settled on their recruiters.

Covers appointments that were announced. A quiet internal promotion leaves nothing to read, and junior hires, board seats and advisers are dropped.

Hiring posts

Public LinkedIn posts, past week

What it reads
  • Posts where a manager says they are hiring
  • The author's name, headline and profile
  • The role, the location and the team, from the text of the post
What that tells you

Which sales leaders are hiring this week, often before a job advert exists or instead of one.

A keyword search over public posts from the past week, so it sees what was posted publicly and nothing older. Posts by agency recruiters are removed.

What the data usually means for your desk

A signal is a reason to call, not a guarantee. Each one links to the play that works it.

  • When you see

A company in your market closes a funding round

    It usually means

Revenue hires tend to follow the money. The window is the weeks before the roles are advertised.

  • When you see

A company appoints a new sales or revenue leader

    It usually means

New leaders often reshape the team they inherit and look again at who supplies it.

  • When you see

A sales leader leaves one of your target accounts

    It usually means

A seat that usually has to be filled, and a search that may not be briefed out yet.

  • When you see

A company that sells into your market cuts its sales team

    It usually means

A short window to reach the people affected, before every other recruiter has called them.

And the sellers to put in the seat

Name the companies whose sales people your client wants. hyreflow builds the shortlist only from those, scores each person on their dated work history, and screens out anyone your off-limits list covers. It cannot see quota attainment, because nobody publishes it. That stays a question for your first call.

  • Scored on what is public: tenure, promotions and the companies they have sold for
  • Clients and companies under agreement screened out, with a report of who and why
  • A personal email or LinkedIn profile for each person, never a work address

Sales and GTM recruitment, answered

Something else? Bring it to Open Office, the weekly open call.

How does a funding round become a recruitment lead?

hyreflow pulls recent rounds by round type and geography, keeps the companies that fit your desk, reads the announcement, and finds the person who owns sales hiring with a verified work email. The note it drafts refers to the raise. It does not claim the company has an open role.

Does a funding round mean the company is hiring salespeople?

Not by itself. It is a strong reason to look. Companies that do not fit your desk are dropped before anything is spent on contact details, and the note refers to the raise, not to a vacancy.

How does it find a newly appointed sales leader?

From company news tagged as a hire, pulled by company location, plus a news search for appointment announcements in your market. The source article is read so the name, the role and the date come from the announcement itself.

Can it tell me whether a salesperson hit quota?

No. Quota attainment is not public, and hyreflow does not guess it. Candidates are scored on dated work history: tenure, promotions and the companies they sold for. Performance is for your call.

Does it cover marketing, customer success and revenue operations?

Yes. The signal plays take the roles your desk covers, so a marketing or revenue operations desk runs the same plays against its own titles and its own buyer.

Can it source only from the competitors my client names?

Yes. The competitor sourcing play draws the shortlist only from the companies you name, and applies your off-limits list before any contact detail is paid for.

Give it your market
