The short answer

SeekOut and hyreflow both work inside Claude or ChatGPT, and put different things behind the connector. SeekOut (seekout.com) is a sourcing platform with its own database of over a billion profiles; SeekOut MCP is a second way into it, from $149 a month paid yearly. hyreflow (hyreflow.ai) has no database or application of its own. It searches several data providers and live job adverts, for candidates and for clients, from $49 a month per workspace. Checked 9 October 2026.

  • Both work inside Claude and ChatGPT. SeekOut MCP opens SeekOut's own database; hyreflow opens a catalog of data providers and job-advert sources.
  • hyreflow finds clients as well as candidates. Vacancy search and hiring-manager lookup were not advertised on the SeekOut pages read.
  • SeekOut has search pools hyreflow does not, such as security-cleared talent and licensed nurses, and sends email campaigns from its own application.
  • SeekOut publishes one self-serve price and quotes the rest. hyreflow publishes its self-serve plan prices, each with unlimited users.

What is the difference between SeekOut and hyreflow?#

SeekOut is a sourcing platform with a connector added to it; hyreflow is only the connector. SeekOut's site says you can "Use SeekOut inside the AI assistant you already use", and its documentation says anything done through SeekOut MCP shows up in the SeekOut Recruit application. hyreflow has no application to show up in: the conversation in Claude or ChatGPT is the whole product.

So the question is less where you type and more what answers. A prompt to SeekOut searches SeekOut's own profiles, with the filters and credits of your SeekOut plan. A prompt to hyreflow lets the assistant pick among several people-data, contact-data and job-advert providers, and pay for each from one balance.

There is also a difference in who each is built for. SeekOut's site addresses enterprise talent teams. hyreflow is built first for recruitment agencies, where winning the client matters as much as filling the role. Bullhorn's 2026 Recruitment Industry Trends Report found competition from other firms is now the second biggest obstacle to winning new business.

How does hyreflow work?#

hyreflow adds recruiting tools to your AI assistant and leaves the choice of tool to the assistant. You describe the outcome, the assistant quotes the cost, and the result arrives in the conversation.

ChatGPT prompt

Use hyreflow to find companies in Austin that advertised a Site Reliability Engineer role in the last 14 days. Leave out recruitment agencies. For each one, find the engineering leader and a work email, then give me three candidates I could lead with. Tell me the cost first.

What comes back

A table of hiring companies with the advert and its date, the engineering leader and a work email, followed by three scored candidates with the reason for each.

That one prompt crosses three kinds of data: job adverts, people data and contact data. hyreflow's tool catalog holds providers for each, so the client list and the candidates come from the same conversation. The work both sides of a job ad playbook sets out the steps, and how to source candidates with Claude covers the candidate half in detail.

How does SeekOut work?#

SeekOut is a search application over its own profile database, with outreach attached. Its pricing page lists unlimited search, 30+ filters and AI multi-step campaigns on the self-serve plan, which it describes as "For individual recruiters getting started with AI-powered talent search." Larger plans add custom filters, ATS rediscovery, applicant evaluation and AI screening.

Does SeekOut work inside Claude or ChatGPT?#

Yes. SeekOut MCP connects SeekOut to Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Gemini and Amazon Quick, and SeekOut's documentation says "MCP access is included with your existing SeekOut Recruit license." It searches the data sources your plan includes, retrieves contact details using contact credits, exports lists and pushes candidates to a connected ATS.

Two limits are stated in the same documentation. Sending is one: for an outreach campaign, SeekOut's table reads "Draft copy in the conversation; create and send the sequence in Recruit". Entitlement is the other: healthcare and nursing search and the ATS pipeline need plans above Sourcing Core.

hyreflow's connector is the product itself, so nothing is held back for a separate application. It reaches job-advert sources and hiring signals as well as people data, and it writes to your ATS on every plan, Free included with 100 requests a month per tool. Anthropic's help centre says free Claude users are limited to one custom connector, which matters if you plan to add both.

What does SeekOut cost, and what does hyreflow cost?#

SeekOut publishes a price for one plan, and hyreflow for each of its self-serve plans. SeekOut Sourcing Core is $179 a month billed monthly, or $149 a month paid yearly at $1,788, with 500 contact credits and 1,000 exports a month (SeekOut pricing page, 9 October 2026). SeekOut's three larger plans are listed as custom and billed annually.

What that means for three team sizes, at list price on 9 October 2026:

5 recruitersEssential: $189 a month, 2,000 shared credits; Pro: $449 a month ($404 billed yearly), 5,000 shared creditsAbove Sourcing Core's seats; the Sourcing plan is priced per seat, by quote

The allowances are not like for like. SeekOut does not meter search and counts contacts and exports. hyreflow spends credits when a tool calls a data provider, searches included, and some searches are charged even when they return nothing. A hyreflow credit costs about $0.08 to $0.10 depending on the plan. Current plans are on the hyreflow pricing page.

What does hyreflow do differently from SeekOut?#

Three things separate hyreflow from SeekOut, given that both run inside an assistant.

  • hyreflow starts a business development day from the vacancy. It finds who is hiring right now and can take one strong candidate to fifteen companies.
  • hyreflow charges per workspace, not per seat. Every plan has unlimited users, and every self-serve plan has a published price.
  • hyreflow writes to the ATS on every plan, using your own account (100 requests a month per tool on Free), where SeekOut's ATS integration begins two plans above Sourcing Core.

SeekOut is built for in-house talent acquisition first, and its strengths show there: single sign-on, diversity insights, applicant evaluation and a cleared-talent pool. An in-house team that needs none of those uses hyreflow for a shortlist from a job spec and the update to Ashby, Lever or SmartRecruiters.

Can you use hyreflow alongside SeekOut?#

Yes, and Claude can hold both connectors on a paid plan. A SeekOut user can keep searching SeekOut's database, and use hyreflow for what sits outside it: live vacancies, hiring managers, and contact details from other providers. Both can write to the same ATS when SeekOut's integration is on your plan.

How do you test SeekOut and hyreflow on the same role?#

Give both connectors the same prompt in the same assistant and compare the answers side by side. SeekOut has a 14-day trial of Sourcing Core, and hyreflow gives 25 credits on signup.

  1. Connect both to Claude or ChatGPT and pick one role you are working this week.
  2. Ask each, in a separate conversation, for 20 candidates for that role in one city, with the reason for each.
  3. Count how many of each 20 you would call, and how many come with a personal email or a mobile number.
  4. Ask each which companies are hiring for that role this week, and note what comes back and what each run cost.

Is hyreflow the right SeekOut alternative for a recruitment agency?#

hyreflow is the right SeekOut alternative for an agency that wants clients and candidates from the same conversation, with its ATS connected on any plan. It is not the right fit for a team whose search depends on SeekOut's cleared, clinical or academic pools.

hyreflow fits a recruitment agency that

  • wants live vacancies and hiring managers next to the candidate search
  • needs the shortlist written to its ATS without buying a higher plan
  • wants unlimited users on a published plan price

hyreflow is not the right fit if you

  • recruit security-cleared people or licensed clinicians from a dedicated pool
  • need single sign-on and admin controls for a large in-house team
  • want email campaigns sent from the same application you search in

Questions recruiters ask about SeekOut and hyreflow#

Is hyreflow a SeekOut alternative?

Yes, for a recruiter who wants to source from inside Claude or ChatGPT. hyreflow searches several data providers and also finds live vacancies and hiring managers. SeekOut searches its own database, and adds pools such as cleared talent and nursing that hyreflow does not have.

Is SeekOut MCP free?

SeekOut's documentation says MCP access is included with a SeekOut Recruit licence, so there is no extra charge for the connector. The licence itself starts at $149 a month for Sourcing Core paid yearly, or $179 billed monthly (9 October 2026). Contact details retrieved through MCP use the plan's contact credits.

Can SeekOut MCP send outreach from Claude?

Not as of 9 October 2026. SeekOut's documentation says the assistant drafts the copy in the conversation and the sequence is created and sent in SeekOut Recruit. hyreflow drafts the sequence too, then loads it into your own sequencer.

Does hyreflow have its own candidate database like SeekOut?

No. hyreflow has no database of its own. Each search goes to the people-data providers in its catalog, chosen for the role and the country, and the calls are paid from one credit balance.
