Finance recruitment, read from the company event

A finance function changes when the company does: a deal, a restructure, a finance leader leaving. hyreflow reads those events from the announcement, finds who is in charge afterwards, and shows what employers are advertising for the role today.

For a finance desk, hyreflow starts from the company event, not the vacancy.

hyreflow pulls the acquisitions and restructures in that market, checks the accounts you name for senior finance departures, reads the announcement behind each event, and returns two lists: finance people worth a quiet approach, and the person who owns hiring on the side that is in charge.

Where a finance hire starts

Finance roles follow company events. These are where the events are written down.

Deals and restructures

Company news, tagged by type

What it reads
  • Acquisitions and headcount reductions, by company location
  • Mergers and reorganisations found by a news search
  • The announcement itself: who bought whom, and which sites and functions are affected
What that tells you

Which finance functions are about to be combined, moved or rebuilt, and who is in charge on the other side of it.

Covers events that were announced. The location on an event is approximate, so geography is judged from the company, and an event is a trigger, not proof of a vacancy.

Finance leader moves

Departures at the accounts you name

What it reads
  • Departure news for each account on your list
  • Whether the finance leaders you name are still with the employer you expect
  • A head of finance role first seen at a company that already had one
What that tells you

Which of your accounts has lost its finance director or chief financial officer, and so has a seat to fill.

Works from a list of accounts you give it, not the whole market. Accounts where nothing was found are reported as checked, not as unchanged.

Advertised pay

Live job adverts

What it reads
  • Adverts for one finance title in one location, limited to recent postings
  • The pay each advertiser stated, put on one basis
  • How many adverts stated no pay at all
What that tells you

What employers are advertising for the role today, with a link to every advert behind the range.

Advertised pay, not agreed pay. Many adverts state no figure, so the play prints how many adverts the range rests on and does not fill the gaps.

What the data usually means for your desk

A signal is a reason to call, not a guarantee. Each one links to the play that works it.

  • When you see

A company in your market is acquired or merges

    It usually means

Two finance functions tend to become one. People on one side start to look, and the side in charge has integration work to staff.

  • When you see

A finance director or chief financial officer leaves a target account

    It usually means

A seat that usually has to be filled, often before the search has been briefed out.

  • When you see

A company closes a funding round

    It usually means

New investors tend to want more reporting. A first senior finance hire often follows.

  • When you see

A finance role has been advertised for weeks and reposted

    It usually means

The direct route has not worked. A specific candidate tends to land better than a pitch.

And the people to run the numbers

Attach the spec. hyreflow returns a ranked shortlist with the reason for each name, and checks each person's dated work history against their CV before you submit. A qualification is read from the profile. It is not confirmed with the institute, so that check stays with you.

  • Scored against the role on evidence: sector, company size and the level they have held
  • Dates and titles on the CV compared with the public record, with the differences listed
  • A personal email or LinkedIn profile for each person, never a work address

Finance and accounting recruitment, answered

How does an acquisition become a finance recruitment lead?

hyreflow pulls the acquisitions and headcount cuts announced in your market, reads the announcement to see who bought whom and which functions are affected, and returns two lists from each event: finance people worth a quiet approach, and the person who owns hiring on the side that is in charge.

Can it tell me when a finance director leaves one of my accounts?

Yes, for the accounts you give it. It reads departure news per account, checks whether the leaders you named are still with the employer you expect, and looks for a head of finance role appearing where one already existed. Accounts with nothing found are listed as checked.

Where do the salary ranges come from?

From job adverts that are live today for one title in one location. The play keeps the adverts that state pay, puts every figure on one basis, and prints the low, the high, where most adverts sit, and how many adverts stated nothing. It is advertised pay, not what was agreed.

Does it verify accounting qualifications?

No. A qualification is read from the candidate's public profile or CV. hyreflow does not confirm membership with a professional body, so that check stays with you. What it does check is the dated work history against the CV.

Does it work for accountancy practices as well as industry?

Yes. Practices can be sourced from by name with your off-limits list applied, and a market of practices that lives on a public directory can be mapped from that directory with the named decision-makers at each.

Does it cover interim and contract finance roles?

The signal plays do not care whether the hire is permanent or interim: a departed finance leader is often an interim brief first. The pay play keeps day rates and salaries apart, because a range that mixes them describes nobody.
