You have already paid for the first answer
Many agencies hold at least one data seat. Apollo for the business development team, a Lusha plan somebody bought two years ago, a Prospeo subscription that renews every spring. Those seats carry an allowance whether anyone uses it or not. Then a list needs enriching, it goes through a different tool, and the same lookups are bought a second time.
Hyreflow runs a contact lookup as a chain of providers, tried in a set order, stopping at the first hit. Connect your own key for a provider in that chain and it moves to the front. The lookup runs on your account with that vendor and costs no Hyreflow credits. Credits are spent only when your seat comes back empty and the row falls through to the next provider.
This is getting emails and mobiles for a list you already have with one thing changed: who pays for the first attempt.
What you get back
A copy of your file with the columns you asked for. Next to every value: the provider that supplied it, whether it was verified, and what the row was charged in credits. Rows your own seat answered show a charge of nothing.
Above it, the split: rows answered by your seats, rows bought with credits, rows nobody found. That is also the first honest measure of what a seat is worth. One that answers most of a list has earned its renewal. One that answers very little is a line to question when the contract comes up.
Variations worth knowing
One seat, one chain. With only a Prospeo key, the work-email chain starts at Prospeo on your account and carries on through the providers Hyreflow supplies. Nothing else changes.
Sourcing as well. A key you hold also moves that provider to the front of people search. Apollo's step there runs only on your own key and is skipped without one.
Work history on your seat. The chain that pulls dated work history runs through AI Ark, Prospeo and LeadMagic. A key for any of them goes to the front there too.
Where this goes wrong
A seat without an API key. Some vendor plans give you a login and a browser extension but no API access. Without a key there is nothing to connect. Ask the vendor before you plan around it.
The wrong seat for the channel. Lusha, Prospeo and Apollo return work addresses. On a candidate list they are not used, and should not be.
An allowance that runs dry. Hyreflow's spending cap counts credits. It does not see what runs on your vendor account. When a seat stops answering, rows fall through and start costing credits, and the provider column shows where.
Expecting better data. Your key gets the same answer that provider gives anyone. The saving is in who pays, not in what is found.
