- hyreflow works inside the AI assistant you already use, so there is no separate application to learn or to keep open.
- hyreflow covers business development as well as sourcing, with live vacancies, hiring managers and spec campaigns. Pin's site describes candidate sourcing, outreach and scheduling.
- Pin searches an index it builds from dozens of data providers and sends email from its own sequences. hyreflow asks the providers directly, can use your own provider accounts, and hands outreach to your sequencer.
- The two charge in different units. Pin is priced per user, with credits allotted per seat and pooled across the team. hyreflow is priced per workspace, with the seats included in the plan.

## What is the difference between Pin and hyreflow? [#what-is-the-difference-between-pin-and-hyreflow]

Pin (pin.com) is an application you log in to; hyreflow is a set of recruiting tools your AI assistant uses. Pin has its own search, its own outreach sequences and its own interview scheduling. hyreflow has none of those on purpose: you add it to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector, and the conversation is the interface.

Take a Finance Manager role that came in this morning. In hyreflow you paste the job spec into Claude and ask for ten people who meet the must-haves, with a personal email for each, added to the job in your ATS. You read the reasoning, drop two, and the other eight are on the record. You did not open a search screen, export a CSV or re-key anyone.

The two also cover different halves of an agency desk. Pin's site describes filling roles: sourcing, outreach and scheduling. hyreflow fills roles and finds them, starting from companies with a live vacancy.

Pin prices were read on its pricing page on 3 October 2026. The page shows monthly and annual billing; the Solo plan was shown with annual billing only. Free-plan limits follow the pricing page and the top-up price follows the help centre; other Pin pages state different figures for both. 'Not advertised' means the feature was not found on the Pin pages listed under Sources on that date; it is not a statement that the feature does not exist.

## How does hyreflow work? [#how-does-hyreflow-work]

hyreflow gives your AI assistant recruiting tools, and you ask for the outcome in plain language. There is nothing to configure per search.

Prompt (Claude):

> Use hyreflow and build me a shortlist of 10 candidates for this job spec. Score each one against the must-haves, show your reasoning, and find a personal email for the ones who make the list. Then add them to this job in my ATS. Tell me the cost before you spend anything.

What comes back: A ranked shortlist with a reason for each candidate and a personal email or LinkedIn profile, delivered in the conversation and as a file, with the candidates added to the job in your ATS.

Behind the prompt, the assistant picks from the tools in the [hyreflow catalog](/tools): people-data providers for the search, contact-data providers for emails and phone numbers, your sequencer for outreach, and your ATS for the record. A contact lookup asks several providers in turn and stops at the first verified result, so coverage does not depend on one database.

## How does Pin work? [#how-does-pin-work]

Pin describes its product as "AI recruiting tools that automate candidate sourcing, screening, and scheduling across 850M+ profiles". You create a search for a role, and a Pin AI agent ranks candidates from Pin's database. Accepting a candidate starts an outreach sequence, and Pin books the interview. According to Pin's help centre, an email lookup costs one credit and a phone lookup one more.

## Does Pin help a recruitment agency win new clients? [#does-pin-help-a-recruitment-agency-win-new-clients]

Business development was not advertised on the Pin pages read on 3 October 2026. Pin's site describes candidate sourcing, outreach and scheduling for roles an agency already has.

hyreflow covers both sides of the desk. ## Does Pin work inside Claude or ChatGPT? [#does-pin-work-inside-claude-or-chatgpt]

Partly. Pin has an MCP server for paid plans, which its help centre describes as a beta. Pin's MCP page lists ten tools: they create and tune a search, return ranked candidates, and accept or reject them. Starting or changing a search costs one credit each. Contact lookup, sequence editing and pushing to an ATS are not among the tools listed (3 October 2026).

With hyreflow, the contact lookup, the vacancy search and the ATS update are themselves tools the assistant calls.

## How does Pin pricing compare with hyreflow pricing? [#how-does-pin-pricing-compare-with-hyreflow-pricing]

They are charged in different units. Pin charges per user. hyreflow charges per workspace, and the plan price includes the seats.

The credits are not like for like. A Pin credit is one email or phone lookup, and searching in the app is unlimited on paid plans. A hyreflow credit is spent whenever a provider returns data, including during the search. ATS integration is an add-on to Pin's Solo and Professional plans and is not in these totals. Pin's help centre says new accounts pay quarterly, semi-annually or annually upfront, so Pin's monthly figures are a rate, not a monthly bill.

Prices were read on 3 October 2026. hyreflow's [job spec to shortlist](/skills/job-spec-to-shortlist) playbook estimates a 25-candidate shortlist at 42 to 150 credits ($4.20 to $15), depending on how many providers each lookup has to ask. It is an estimate from list prices, not a measured run. A hyreflow credit costs about $0.09 to $0.10 depending on the plan, and a call made through your own provider account uses no credits. ## What does hyreflow do differently from Pin? [#what-does-hyreflow-do-differently-from-pin]

Three things are specific to this comparison: business development, the ATS, and billing.

* Business development and sourcing run in the same conversation: a [live vacancy](/skills/who-is-hiring-right-now), the hiring manager behind it, then a [shortlist for the role](/skills/job-spec-to-shortlist).
* Your ATS is read as well as written. Before hyreflow [adds a shortlist to the job](/skills/push-a-shortlist-into-your-ats), it checks each person against the records you already hold in Loxo, JobAdder or Bullhorn, on every plan with your own account; Bullhorn and Vincere are connected on request.
* The plan price includes the seats and is billed monthly. Starter covers 2 seats and Essential 5.

In-house talent teams skip the business development and use the rest: sourcing for open roles, with candidates synced into Ashby, Lever, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee or Breezy.

## Can you use hyreflow alongside Pin? [#can-you-use-hyreflow-alongside-pin]

You can add hyreflow without replacing anything. Both connect to Claude through MCP, so a Pin subscriber on a paid plan can add hyreflow as a second connector. hyreflow then covers what sits around the search: business development, contact data from other providers, and updates to an ATS or sequencer. Anthropic's help centre says free Claude accounts are limited to one custom connector, so running two needs a paid Claude plan.

## How do you test Pin and hyreflow on the same role? [#how-do-you-test-pin-and-hyreflow-on-the-same-role]

Take one role you are working now, run it in both, and follow each result as far as your ATS. Pin has a free plan and hyreflow gives 25 credits on signup.

1. Use a role that is already a job in your ATS, so the last step can be checked.
2. In Pin, create the search on the free plan, which allows 3 searches a day and 5 contact credits a week. In hyreflow, paste the job spec with the prompt above and approve the cost it quotes.
3. Compare the first ten candidates from each against the must-haves, and count the contact details you can use.
4. Check the record. Look at what arrives on the job in your ATS, whether anyone was duplicated, and how many steps it took.

## Is hyreflow the right Pin alternative for a recruitment agency? [#is-hyreflow-the-right-pin-alternative-for-a-recruitment-agency]

hyreflow is the right Pin alternative for an agency that needs to win roles as well as fill them and already works in Claude or ChatGPT. It is not the right fit for a team that wants outreach, scheduling and a recruiting CRM in one application.
